How it works...

After submitting your form:

Please allow up to 24 hours for me to reach out to you through your preferred method of communication.

Once we finalize all of the details of your commission and we have a good reference photo of your pet, I will send you your commission contract and initial deposit invoice. Please keep in mind that the artwork will not begin to be made until the deposit has been paid.

How long does it take?

The art making process will take approximately one month from the date your invoice is made, which does not account for edits/addition requests, any delays in client work in progress approvals, or shipping.

Wrapping it up!

Once the final piece if approved, your final invoice will be created and sent with the remaining balance of your commission, including your shipping charges and any edit request fees. Once the final invoice is paid, your package will be sent to you and I will provide you with shipping details to track every step of the way.

Refunds?

There are no refunds, returns, or exchanges once the deposit has been paid.

Edits?

Edits and additions are allowed. The first two are free, but any requested after will insure a $15 charge per edit. Any edits from feedback during approvals asked by me are not counted as part of these edits and addition requests.

Invoicing and Payments

The total cost of the commission (apart from shipping and additional fees) will be split into two even payments; your initial deposit and your final invoice which will include the shipping fees and any edit request fees.

Privacy

Molly's Art Emporium shares all finished artwork on their Instagram page as well as in the gallery sections of their website. You can express if you prefer your commission to be kept private and not have it posted on the platforms listed above.

  • Presentation is everything

    Pick a frame!

Every piece of art is framed in a glass front frame with a clean white mat border. Pick from one of the four frame colors available, which is included in your commission price.

  • Just the right shot

One of the most important parts of a pet portrait commission is the reference photo you send of your pet.

Please make sure the image is good quality, has high resolution, good frontal or side lighting (not backlit), and is an image you love of your pet.

No worries if you're not sure. Before you sign your contract and pay your deposit, you and the artist will work together to ensure that you have just the right photo.

  • It's the little stuff that counts

Every commission is packaged with extra love and care, double and triple wrapping it in foam sheets, adding corner protectors and "handle with care" labels. Each box also includes an artwork label affixed to the back of the piece, a copy of the commission request form, commission contract, invoices, a certificate of authenticity, and a hand written thank you card.

  • Communication is key

The artist of your commission, Molly, will communicate with you every step of the way. From digital mock ups, to the final piece, to framing selections, you'll always be in the loop on how your one-of-a-kind work of art is going.

  • A few things,

All pet portraits are done only of the pets themselves (so, unfortunately no human owners in the photo please) and busts only, no full body. However, it is possible to have more than one non-human family member in the portrait.Commission prices will be separated into two even payments; your initial deposit before the artwork has begun, and your final balance when the artwork is finished. No returns, exchanges, or refunds after the first payment is paid. Please give up to one month for the entire art making process of your commission (after the deposit is paid, and does not include shipping).
